Chief Financial Officer – Consumer Products

A rapidly growing consumer products company in Century City is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to round out its management team. The CFO will report to the COO and function as a key advisor to provide decision support to the management team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing businesses through high growth periods. Primary responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Collaborate with the COO and the CEO to develop and execute the financial strategy of the company
  • Participate as a member of senior management on decisions and strategic direction of the business
  • Serve as a liaison to the board to communicate the financial position of the company and work on financial planning matters
  • Represent the company with outside advisors including banks, investors, and auditors
  • Oversee all matters related to accounting and finance

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with executive presence, strong problem solving skills, and solid business acumen. In order to be considered, this person must meet the following criteria:

  • 10+ years in leadership roles with progressively increasing responsibility and proven track record as CFO in a middle market consumer products company
  • Experience with dynamic rapidly growing businesses
  • Experience partnering with executive staff and managing all elements of finance including accounting, inventory and cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, cash, and banking relationships

Director of Finance - Financial ServicesThousand Oaks, CA

Director of Finance - Financial Services

A private equity sponsored specialty finance company is seeking a Director of Finance. This role is with a rapidly growing division located in Thousand Oaks and will function as the head finance person within the division. The focus of the responsibilities will be on financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, KPI analysis, and reporting to the parent company.

Primary responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Serve as the finance leader for the business unit overseeing all financial matters including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, accounting, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide analytical decision support to senior management
  • Prepare and coordinate the budgeting process for the business unit

Director of Recruitment - Buxbaum HCS

Buxbaum HCS, a leading CFO consulting and search firm in Southern California, is looking for a Director of Recruitment who will report to the Chief Talent Officer. This individual will lead and manage all aspects of the recruitment function with a focus on recruiting senior level finance candidates for both consulting and full-time opportunities. The ideal candidate is a seasoned recruitment professional with extensive experience recruiting C-level and other senior level finance candidates. This is an internal administrative position. It is not a commission-based sales position. It will pay a base salary of $150,000 to $175,000 depending on experience along with a generous discretionary bonus. Controller - Real EstateCalabasas, CA

Controller - Real Estate

A rapidly growing real estate investment firm in Calabasas is looking for a Controller to join its team. The firm has carved out a successful niche with multi-unit residential properties. It owns, redevelops, and manages these properties.

Reporting to the CEO, the Controller will concentrate on building a high performing accounting department. This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional who has experience working for a real estate investment firm. This person will be capable of managing the overall organization of the department while also handling routine day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
