Buxbaum HCS’s senior management plays an active role in every project and placement. In many instances, we apply our hands-on operational experience to serve as key advisors to clients on an on-going basis.

Jimmy Buxbaum Founder & CEO

Jimmy Buxbaum

Jimmy is an entrepreneur by nature and a CPA by trade.  Blending these characteristics, he founded Buxbaum HCS to cater to the specific issues business owners face when selling their companies or raising growth capital.

By remaining involved in client engagements, Jimmy applies his 30 years of experience in M&A, public accounting and consulting to provide valuable strategic advice.  He frequently collaborates with clients’ other trusted advisors, including attorneys, investment bankers and accountants.

Previously, Jimmy was the Los Angeles managing partner of a national firm that placed senior financial professionals.  He began his career as a CPA on the East Coast, where he founded an accounting firm focused on providing M&A, financial and operational advisory services in the healthcare industry.  Jimmy has served as a C-level executive in several companies, including CEO for a British-owned manufacturing and distribution company.

Jae Shin Chief Talent Officer

Jae Shin

Jae is a connector who oversees Buxbaum HCS’s recruiting activities.  He spends his days getting to know Southern California’s top CFOs and controllers, digging deep to understand their individual goals, personalities, skillsets, and career objectives.  With this information readily available, he immediately provides well-suited candidates for clients to interview.

Jae’s recruiting skills combined with Jimmy Buxbaum’s business development skills create a formidable force in Southern California, as demonstrated by the firm’s exceptional placement and retention rates.

Megan Morgan Chief Administrative Officer

Megan Morgan

Megan is Buxbaum HCS’s pillar who makes sure schedules are met, contracts are created and executed, and invoices are managed in a timely fashion.  She handles the firm’s human resources and, most importantly, keeps everyone organized and sane.

After beginning her career in corporate America, Megan realized she preferred an entrepreneurial environment where her contributions would directly benefit both clients and colleagues.  That was nearly a decade ago, and she hasn’t looked back a single time.

Ellen Palazzo Recruiting Associate; Marketing Associate

Ellen Palazzo

Ellen is a facilitator, helping to manage the Buxbaum HCS’s recruiting activities as well as the company’s marketing initiatives.  She identifies and vets candidates for client needs, coordinates interviews, and handles candidate background and reference checks.

In addition to her recruiting duties, Ellen applies experience gained as a marketing consultant to professional services firms to implement strategies to broaden the firm’s communications and marketing initiatives. She enjoys contributing to Buxbaum HCS’s future through her dual functions.
